Tell Me More, 'unlocking a Life Time of Memories'

This project delves deep into the daily life of a primary school mate and a close friend, Christopher Oduor. Chris, was always an outsider in everything we did as a class and group. From the onset it was prevalent that his needs needed much more than just a normal primary education. My years in class with him made me realise just how less we care of the various needs different people face in their daily lives. Primarily, the project explores the accessibility of relationships, health care, and insuffcicent institutional support for people with dimentia.
A lot of people will see somebody who's experiencing dementia or alzheimer's, and they think, 'They're crazy'. But in reality, there's something really going on in there, no matter how far gone they are. This project aims to allow the audience to identify with Christopher (my subject) and our own lives. Those of us who have had to deal with that know that when those people are sitting there, they may not answer your questions or what you want them to be present for, because they're busy inhabting something else that gives them solace in the lost space that they are in or what they think they are in. But they may not be lost at all. They just don't bother with what you are trying to put on.
